iCollegeWeb.com was established to serve college students. We want to provide a free service that will help college students save big bucks on college used textbooks, and to facilitate students on successfully selling their used textbooks. We have recognized the need for a college textbooks exchange network. We have heard a lot of complaints from fellow students about not being able to find used textbooks at the student stores, or that even a used college textbooks. In fact, we all have complained about the cost of textbooks ourselves! Even though used textbooks store exists, they are the middleman who buys cheap used textbooks back from students, mark it up, and sell used textbooks just at a slight discount from new price tags. Just imagine taking 3 to 4 courses per quarter, or semester, and that each new textbook might run from $100 and up (especially those General Elective courses), so you could easily spend between $300 to $400 just on college textbooks alone! Books are books, as long as they are legible, in a bearable condition, who cares if it is a used textbook?
And that's not all. Now that you are done with your courses, you may no longer need those textbooks. You can either keep it, or sell it back to used textbooks traders or college bookstores. Forget it! You get less than 50% of your money back - 50% if you are lucky! So what do you do? You ask around your friends to see if anyone would like to buy these books from you, right? That is why we've created this website to make it easy for people to buy used textbooks, and sell used textbooks, directly among students, bypassing the middleman (aka bookstores and buy-back merchains).
